Food & Drink
despite following all the rules and regulations and ensuring that we have been Covid safe since reopening, we have once again been told that from Thursday 05th November until 02nd December, we must close our doors to all of our lovely customers, to ensure the health and safety of the nation, yourselves and our staff.
However this may get extended by the government, who knows.
For the next few days we are still open and operating a busy hotel, bar and restaurant, so we urge you wait until Monday if you need to speak to us, as we are expecting a large number of enquiries about cancellations.
If you had a reservation to come and stay with us during the announced lockdown period we will be cancelling all reservations and refunding any deposit monies paid, leaving you free to rebook a stay for some time in the future at your own leisure.
We will send out confirmations of all cancellations via email.
Let’s hope that we are not locked down as long as last time and we look forward to opening our doors again.
Liam, Abi, Geoff, Kay and all the Angel staff.
Because of new government guidelines introduced from Thursday 24th September 2020 we will be serving dinner from 16:30 until 20:15 until further notice. We will return to normal once we are allowed.
Please have your table number when ordering food outside and please don’t move tables after ordering as your food or drink may not arrive.
Please use the links above to access our menu. Any other links on this page will be out of date. Thanks for your understanding.
Due to Covid 19 we’ll be following all of the rules and regulations that the government has put in place, but you’re guaranteed the warmest of welcomes when you come and see us. All of the measures we have put in place are temporary and with your help and understanding we hope to return to normal as quickly as possible.
We do have slightly less on the menu than usual but it is the same great quality and freshness. We can not guarantee that we will have all dishes available when you visit or we may have had to make a change to the menu on the day you are visiting. We will not be serving any food between 14.45 and 16:30 until further notice.
Seating and Reservations
We will be operating table service indoors. Please see a member of staff before taking a seat.
All seating areas in our bar, lounges and restaurant have been configured to ensure safe distancing is maintained in line with current government guidance. Because of the small amount of flexibility in moving tables at the moment we will have a maximum table size of 4 people from 2 households and will find it difficult to accommodate prams in the bar, restaurant or lounge areas.
Outside guests are asked to find a table and order at the top of the garden, whilst observing the social distancing guidelines.
We will be taking orders outdoors via a queuing system and bringing food to your table. You will be asked to kindly wait outside for your drinks to arrive at the top of the steps.
Guests are still able to call in for food and drink on the door.
We are now a card only payment establishment. We will only be accepting cards or a mobile device for all payments. Current contactless limit is £45 and there is no limit on a mobile device. We do have the option for chip and pin payments also but prefer contactless whenever possible.
Cleaning and Hygiene
Hand sanitiser stations are in place at entry points and around the building and we encourage you to use these regularly in addition to regular hand washing.
All touch points in public areas such as door handles, counter tops, table tops, soft seating etc. will be sanitised throughout the day
Protocols are in place for staff in our kitchens, restaurants and bar to sanitise their hands every time they serve food or touch food related items.
We remind all guests to follow government guidelines on social distancing. We are making every effort to make your environment safe and reserve the right to control social distancing within our property. Anyone bringing children, we ask you to keep them with you at all times especially in the garden and please remember it is your responsibility to ensure they follow the guidelines. Guests breaching our policies will be reminded of their responsibilities and any individuals persistently disregarding social distancing may be asked to leave.
